The research carried out by Three UK, YouGov and Development Economics highlighted that each employee was losing over one hour of work per week due to connectivity issues … this equates to 250 hours each year for a medium sized business, meaning an estimated loss to the UK economy of a staggering £7.7bn EVERY YEAR!

This was a large project for our team. The building is 10,000sqm, spread over 3 floors; but the main challenge for our engineers was that this facility has high security requirements. Our team needed to be escorted throughout the complex at all times. The building was extremely busy with staff carrying out confidential and sensitive work and it was paramount that our engineers remained discrete and professional.

Ofcom mobile signal boosting regulations updated
Ofcom have recently introduced new changes to help expand the range of licence exempt mobile phone repeaters for consumers. Mobile phone repeaters can be used to improve mobile signal within buildings providing they don’t cause undue interference and follow Ofcom’s requirements. These devices boost the signal between a mobile operator’s base station and a mobile phone being used indoors.

Nightingale Hammerson is an independent charity and leading specialist in the care of older people, comprising two care homes; Nightingale House in Clapham and Hammerson House, in Hampstead.  We were contacted to fix the serious mobile signal problem that the Hammerson House care home was experiencing. Can you boost multiple networks at once
This time we want to talk about the technicalities, and legalities, of boosting multiple mobile phone networks. Let's start with a bit about network providers. There are four major UK network providers: Vodafone, Three, O2 and EE. There are many more which piggyback on their signals (around 30 piggybacking companies across the UK). Officially, they're known as Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) ... nice and easy to remember! The good news here is that you can boost these MVNO signals by simply boosting the parent network ... so for Sky Mobile you'd boost O2 and for BT Mobile it would be EE. Here's a full list of all UK MVNOs if you want to see who the parent network is for your specific MVNO. Hold on, what was the question? Oh yes, can I boost all networks or just one network?
